Glazed

The world in their pocket it screams, it screams,
relentless it begs for all their time,
thoughts are dulled by the screen, the screen,
it eats their soul alive,

As their mouths are erased, lost in cyber space,
will the children ever learn to speak again?
A generation lost, at its own cost

Do they see the wind move the leaves, the leaves,
or watch the birds dance in the sky,
do they feel the movement of the sea, the sea,
or beauty that makes you want to cry,

As their hearts start to fade into cyber space,
will the children ever learn to love again?
a generation occupied by its own pride

Deaf to the words of the wise, the wise,
its all in the palms of their hands,
they say they have opened their eyes, their eyes,
but to see is not to understand

As their eyes are glazed fixed on cyber space,
will the children ever learn to see again?
A generation blind, Humanity is dying.
